Host Liquor means you plan on giving away alcohol (or BYOB) at your event. No required liquor license for the event and your profession does not involve selling, serving or furnishing alcohol.

Retail Liquor, on the other hand, a professional bartender is selling alcohol at your event or your profession involves selling, serving or furnishing alcohol. In addition, alcohol receipts must be under $20,000.
